Does KyanixMail read my email body?

Bodies are analyzed for phishing, links and impersonation, but they are cached only in your browser (AES-GCM encrypted IndexedDB). We never persist message bodies or attachments on our servers.

How does the security engine score an email?

Every message goes through eight independent, deterministic analyzers: SPF/DKIM/DMARC, header consistency, domain intelligence (RDAP, DNSSEC, WHOIS, DNS), link intelligence (URLHaus, Safe Browsing, redirects, punycode, typosquatting), phishing heuristics, brand impersonation, sender-trust history, and attachment metadata. Each contributes a signed delta to a 0-100 score you can inspect.

Which security providers do you use?

Google & Cloudflare DNS-over-HTTPS, RDAP (rdap.org), URLHaus (abuse.ch), Google Safe Browsing when a key is configured, HIBP, XposedOrNot and LeakCheck for breach checks. Every scan tells you which providers were used and which were unavailable — no black box.

Do you use AI, LLMs, or embeddings?

No. Every analyzer is deterministic and rule-based. You can read the exact weight each signal contributed to your score.

How are my Google tokens protected?

OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-GCM (256-bit) and only decrypted in memory when calling the Gmail API on your behalf.

Can I keep all data on my device?

Yes — by design. KyanixMail is local-first: your Gmail content is encrypted with a per-user key and stored only in your browser's IndexedDB. Our servers never see decrypted email bodies.
